One of Greece’s most iconic and historic stadiums. The Kaftanzoglio National Stadium, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is a modern and fully equipped sports venue.

This includes other sports facilities such as the indoor basketball and volleyball arenas (Ivanofeio and Katsaneio), the national swimming center, the sports museum, the university gymnasium, and the Tellogleio Foundation. Throughout its long history, the stadium has hosted Greek league football matches, games of the Greek national team, a European Cup Winners’ Cup final, Balkan and Mediterranean athletics competitions, and numerous other international sporting events — most notably the qualifying football matches for the 2004 Olympic Games.The stadium's foundation was laid on October 26, 1956, and it was officially inaugurated on October 27, 1960.
